Alfredo Baked Ziti 

serves 6-8

 

1 (16 ounce) box ziti, cooked until almost done, then cooled to warm

1 (15 ounce) container whole milk ricotta cheese

1 (8 ounce) bag shredded mozzarella cheese

1 (8 ounce) bag shredded Italian 5 cheese blend

1 egg

salt and pepper, to taste

1 (24 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce (I like Rao’s)

 

Preheat oven to 375°.

 

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta, ½ the mozzarella, ½ the Italian 5 cheese blend, the egg, half the Alfredo sauce, and salt and pepper (to taste).  Add the cooled ziti and combine.

 

Add the coated pasta to a 13×9 baking dish.  Top with the rest of the alfredo sauce and then the rest of the cheeses.

 

Cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.  Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes, until top is slightly browned.
