Throw your chicken in the slow cooker 4-5 hours before dinner, and then all you have to do is shred it and assemble the nachos. And everyone loves nachos!
Slow Cooker Chicken Nachos
serves 5-6
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar salsa
2 teaspoons salt
tortilla chips
white cheese dip
your choice of toppings (sour cream, tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, onions, avocado, lime, salsa)
Put the chicken in the slow cooker and add salt. Cover with salsa and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Discard extra liquid and shred chicken with a fork. Top tortilla chips with the chicken and add toppings.
