Cracker Candy. Christmas Crack. Saltine Toffee. You know this stuff. It’s the best.

 

Cracker Candy
one sleeve of saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

sprinkles or candies

 

Preheat oven to 400°.

 

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.  Place the crackers in rows in pan.


In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar.  Bring it to a boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

 

Pour the caramel over the crackers and spread it out gently, using a knife or spatula.

 

Bake crackers for 4 minutes.  Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips all over it.  Wait 3 minutes, and then use a spatula to spread the chocolate all over the crackers.  Add any sprinkles at this point.  Refrigerate at least an hour or overnight.

 

Break into pieces to serve.
